The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 雷大头和辛芷蕾还蛮有电的，葛大爷也是依旧演技爆表。剧情很紧凑，很舒服的从头看到尾，不过还有很多没交代的只能等等看有没第二部了。今年看过的商业片里最爱之一。
结尾仓促了些，李现拿到佛头后的人设反转稍显突兀，不过也不是什么硬伤，反正重点都落在雷佳音了，情节紧凑流畅，解谜没多烧脑但也没多白痴，喜剧部分做的也自然，以及李现视觉舒适度满分，冲着这片喊国产片没救的人，多得是伪装佳作的烂片给你们嚎。
电影的节奏太赶了，剪辑非常碎，剧情向前推的非常快，李现和雷佳音相遇后，电影就跟二倍速一样往前赶，导致所有推理和情感的铺垫都显得很不足，最后出来的效果就让人觉得很唐突、费解。对于没看过原著的观众非常不友好，自我感觉上消化不良，很多地方没看懂到底是咋回事。
还是加个老前提，国产商业电影，合格了。依然也是国产商业电影的通病，乱七八糟的节奏变调强硬撑起来的电影。盗墓笔记之后，网文这个巨大的剧作宝库开始不停的被开采，所以我们看到了各种这样极具《鬼吹灯》或《盗墓笔记》式的小说被改变成小说或剧集，这不可以说不好，但解密似乎成了国产商业电影的一个成功密码。总之这样的电影可以吸引人去看也能饶有趣味的看完，但也知道不是好电影，硬撑着把故事给说了的感觉也让人异常的奇怪。
没看过原著，2个最大的问题，1许一诚把真佛头放在假佛头里面送日本人，这和送真佛头给日本人有什么区别，许一诚把命都丢了，怎么认定木户的后代会还佛头？2许和平自己都查明白荒庙里面是陷阱，又何必设计一层一层谜题引导儿子去查一个假的真相呢？万一儿子死在里面了呢？这一家人戏真多。
电影的优点有，缺点也是很明显的。强调时代背景，服化道、美术却又与时代不符。奇幻寻宝电影不需要严丝合缝的逻辑，但人物动机，故事框架还是要站得住脚，经得起推敲。不能只要爽点，不讲逻辑。bug太多，剧情推动再紧凑，也不会有最后谜底揭晓的酣畅淋漓。
所以爷爷是赌了日本人看出来外面佛头是假的要归还？情节紧凑还是挺好看的。李现还挺适合这种角色。
也是等了好久好久终于看到了，虽然我印象中的“五脉宇宙”，一定不是这样一关关密室逃脱的戏码。几段鉴别古董时做的的特效画面很亮眼，希望以后《国家宝藏》《假如会说话》之类的节目可以学学。以及，在这一片选角中，我还真的觉得李现是最合适的几个之一，药不然在第一部小说里那种高傲，少爷派的气质还是被出色地呈现了的。
6.5分吧，有1分主观分，对盗墓鉴宝解密几脉相传家族这一题材真的很和我胃口，只要是工业标准制品，别太网剧太拉夸，我都会很喜欢。且鉴宝部分特效偏多，多次暂停去看细节也很给力，很多地方小镜头伏笔也做的很好，多次回看了。但bug很多，人物关系行为动机也很乱，但我上头了之后看了几集电视剧，就原谅了，故事背景太大了，如果电影不做删减，不在紧凑的情节中迅速构建形象（虽然很扁平），剧情不好叙事啊。很喜欢，希望可以出第二部电影，因为电视剧节奏一如既往无意义的漫长，且特效剧情服道化塑料感极强！！！
没啥大太亮点，雷佳音这类角色演的太多了，葛大爷更是游刃有余，李现在这帮人面前有点惨啊……
改编很大，跟小说完全不一样。但故事还挺好，剧情迭起紧凑，特效也很好。是一部很出色的商业片。
全片不功不过，剪了很多线，有点粗略，
黄烟烟的武力值被严重削弱，第一次get到了李现的颜值，为了把一本书讲完，感觉很仓促，故事的基调不太对，不应该这么热闹，特效还行。
我感觉可以出一个豆列，“那些年为了葛大爷看的烂片”。也可能是太喜欢电视剧了，感觉电影版连电视剧的一集都不如啊…
所以许爷爷还是把真佛头给了木户了？
没看过这部小说，但通过《古董局中局》的电影可以看出原著应该很精彩，埋的线索基本能牵引观众一直往前走，就是电影时长限制比较赶，也有些说不通的地方。
可能灰头土脸的镜头多，许愿就总让人想到《刺杀小说家》的关宁，再加上解析古董时瓷器上的炫酷特效，虚虚实实，味就凑一起了。更喜欢原著里药不然和许愿那种亦敌亦友、猫抓老鼠的双雄关系，就很无间道。这个改编把老朝奉变成了药来，药不然被放低了一等，就没那么好玩了。
是不是有不用牺牲这么多，许愿他爹和他爷爷，就能得到想要的结果？
哈，一般。整体比《刺小》稍差一点。处于可看可不看的水准。优点是结构比较完整，缺点是人物塑造太烂了不完全怪演员，你看葛大爷这种大神级的演员，都做的很辛苦。
我觉得其实按照小说来拍更合乎逻辑一点....
