The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 适合一个人窝在角落看的电影，两代人心灵伤痛的症结沟通。导演从一开始就埋下的暗线：以原生家庭为起点的生长环境给后代以及后代的后代酿造的悲剧。性格深处的伤痕塑造了人的方方面面，引来或是被引向相似的人，然而悲哀的是没有人能够解决这一切，在自我挣扎中走向灭亡仿佛是宿命。

叔侄二人的日常交流和对青少年的采访都是观人观己的过程，成人和孩童其实并没有那么界限分明，这是个蛮有趣的角度。又用到了Éthiopiques 21: Piano Solo里的曲子，上一次好像是《波尔图》，平添一丝温柔趣味。

小孩怎么可以演得那么好~与其说“演”更多的跟这个“记录”形式很贴合，人与人的关系其实都是通过沟通去形成去改变，以及充斥着的年轻一代的各种想法，很诗意，但需要很安静地区欣赏~孩子总是思维自由但成年人……
