The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 1的确很欢乐，2也很治愈。画面非常棒，剧情没大毛病，群像很丰满。个人觉得各方面比魔法满屋好看的多。不给满分的理由是剧情展开的起点是一个谎言，这让我非常不爽。其他的没毛病。So，just enjoy the show！
成熟商业片，对民主，自由深深的嘲讽，对理想主义无尽哀悼！
电影院的视听效果想必很不错，最后的音乐剧比真人出演还好看。看得出来，老美的动画片虽然越来越没创意，但流行音乐依然强势，上一部把点子都用完了，这一部在MV里加点闹剧照样有声有色。我建议第三部干脆别要剧情了，直接来两个小时演唱会，岂不痛快
从小镇歌声变成了大都市的舞台秀，歌曲还是不错，老狼最后居然没洗白。
配音里面居然有两位惊喜人物，没有第一部好看，就是老浣熊版的马戏之王。另外不要逃避这个主题是不是用得有点太多了？

这部太拉斯维加斯了看得有点overwhelmed…bono压轴有点劝退哈哈。还有都放了大半首黄砖路了为啥不请演员唱呢！蛋蛋又不是没唱过！
故事逻辑啥的10岁以下。但是这些动物的小动作微表情拿捏之细腻入微，甚至一度让我错以为是真人穿着戏服去动作捕捉的。以及真的是只能从细枝末节的一些单词里才能听出马修妖娆的声音来。
而最后打动人的却还是人本身

怎么回事啊，歌舞是要角色唱出来，不是欧美流行乐歌单当bgm放。所以本质不是剧情过简，而是这种剥离感。最后想对Mr. Moon说，服化道不错，剧本写得还是烂透:)
一段合格的背景音乐,听着一帮好莱坞明星给动物们配音,我终于可以听出个别人了. 剧情就是合家欢,没啥突破,然后串烧一波年度热歌,没听过的话可以补一下billboard歌单.
这是金大中时代的故事。对于参选者而言，影子起到了幕僚的作用，也起到了推波助澜的作用。影子在背后有谁记得他？只能感叹光线越足阴影就越暗的无奈。目标一致鼎力相助时却未必能如意，分歧裂痕经年后最终还是以朋友相称。政治，没那么好玩儿。
金云范这个人设好得不像个政客。在政治里谈正义，过于浪漫主义了。
歌单收藏啦，“勇气”主题让穆恩剧团登上了更大的舞台，喜欢最后的音乐剧表演，太好看了。
电影的开头最有意思，一个智子疑邻的寓言暗示，给主角立下了人设，如剧中言“柏拉图说过为了正义的目的可以不择手段。” 双男主的交锋给本片定下的是那个改变现状政治的基调，徐在未来很长一段时间作为金云范的“影子”，起的作用十分像陈平为太祖高皇帝出谋划策，“常出奇计，世莫得闻”。
