The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 冲着导演有这个想法、这份心，也该给五星。因为这本身就已经非常难得了。
一切都回不去了，我们都要被迫成为普通人，成为普通人不要紧，变得麻木才可怕。
我们都无法把握过去
普通如我，绚烂总归是少数，没曾想被尾崎丰的歌圈粉了。
影片看下来的感受恰似电影中经常出现的一个词：普通。

稀碎的叙事
一个普通的大叔，活到中年，一切都没有什么起色，就这么日复一日地过下去。曾经年少的他，也有过爱情，有过梦想，有过期待。最终，梦想消散开去，生活变得庸常平淡乃至有点乏味。我们不都是这么生活在这个城市里面的吗？听起来很丧，但生活就是如此。我们以为自己抓住过机会，以为自己有伟大美好的未来，希冀时代可以带给自己跃迁的可能。夜晚的东京塔很美，但也会有熄灭的那一刻，遗憾，一直在发生。如果追上20年前的自己，一切是否就会变得更加好起来……
你的身体里，充满了尚未成佛的词语，我能做的，也只有解读而已。
如果可以，我们永远也不要成为大人。。。即便我们已满头华发即便已佝偻成草芥。。。

有点无趣，还坚持着看完了，至少我不想要这样的人生啊
喜欢的叙事风格，宛如抽丝剥茧。也喜欢这种颓废致郁的感觉，生活便是如此，我们终究还是会成为大人。「君の身体にも成仏してない言葉が詰まってるよ」
导演本人也比照片胖一点，看起来非常“普通”。
因为是回忆所以整个感情过程都透露着伤感，很不喜欢这种支离破碎感，整个感情都被回忆给感伤到了。我们的万能女配居然演女主了～不过看到最后最真挚的感情居然是那个男胖胖
