The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 整个剧情有点平 没什么刺激的点 稍微有点乱 但是说的没错 警察要不是灰色的很难破案 尤其是大案
看完电影记住了一个名字，于飞，本片编剧兼导演，非常非常出色！故事进行了大幅的改编，但是剧作非常扎实，把人物的成长轨迹设计精准合理，对节奏、情感、以及小演员们的表演把控很好，一些台词简直神来之笔，直顶你泪腺，或者让你反思，更难得的是把一个儿童片拍出了浪漫的味道！强烈推荐！

这个故事能拍成这样也算可以了，但我就很纳闷鲁西西的书桌上为何会有梁羽生的小说和宜家台灯？
还记得九品芝麻官的台词，对付坏人要爱坏人更奸
说教性太强。但拍摄真的很有趣，小演员们给力。

虽然不算很好 还有些生硬刻板 但我曝尸荒野的童年竟然被治愈了一点点
剧中有个观点很有趣，就是你想做一个灰色的好警察，还是做一个怯懦的规矩者？好和坏如何判断？随心？还是随法？
最最出名的，就是《罐头小人》主角皮皮鲁，鲁西西。
开始小年轻被拉去做卧底，然后各种收集证据，真心吐槽，愣头青一个就随随便便干这种大事吗？这种大佬，可以随随便便被取证吗？服了，要不是后面复杂情节变换，早就一星了。还有最后，小伙子一跃成为大佬，各种要挟，呵呵，刚出手就见幕后大佬，不怕意外吗？无语，yy得太厉害了。
这个故事很有情怀感，毕竟是郑渊洁的原作改编的嘛～做出来的电影效果也很有年代感，对于学习的批判不知道现在的小孩子是不是能看懂～家长们能不能懂？学习成绩真的不应该是单一的衡量孩子的标准…希望现在的小朋友多看点有这种思辨意义的影视作品…虽然大概是看不懂的吧～
