The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 看的把我气得对空气乱打拳，跟算牌有什么关系？！欺骗我感情！！！《基赌山伯爵》罢了！ 真无语，但凡对德扑有点了解都不会这么装b吧……男主造型还是复制《东方的承诺》，看起来就是在牌桌上活不长的样子。朋友评价男主说得真好：isfj随便出门都能捡到个娃。 感情那么多，是没办法好好读人的。结尾扔下牌局跑去和长官互相折磨，对应了他无法参加WSOP的FT—heads up battle，winner takes all。讲个题外话，2021WSOP FT—HU阶段，美国业余选手乔治赢牌时，亲友团就大喊USA，对手那边亲友智囊团穿着黑Ｔ恤衫一群nerd样，结果最终bluff还是被德国职业选手阿德米尔抓诈了。 施拉德能不能做下海导演啊，这方面我是真的很认可。

导演试图通过此片来演绎津巴多在《路西法效應》一书中所揭示的“情景力量场域”及其阴暗心理，电影用相对软化的无限德州扑克赌局来替代伊拉克阿布葛拉伊布监狱中的那种场域，而男主角则是以一个耽溺于小赌养生的“创伤后自了汉”在被“唤醒”后一举卸下心防，克服魔障，自行判罚，剪除祸乱。
