The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 期待了几个月的电影，终究是没有音乐剧好看，有这钱为啥不去拍官摄呢？不过确实在电影版中找到了对歌词的新诠释
后期的反转还可以，前期一点都没看出来，完全做到了让观众跟着电影跌宕起伏。
很早之前就听过这个案子，但是这次影视化只能诗意中规中矩，没什么亮点
6.5分/ B-。虽然是一贯的套路，但根据真实事件，然后又拍出来，这点就很值得点赞。
拍的一般，浪费了题材，话说同样的情节，中国也可以拍个三聚氰胺版本
联想到了 我国的三氯氰胺事件， 对环境为啥食品安全的问题一定不能马马虎虎，要为每一项标准负责，不能赚黑心钱
取材于真实事件勉强给三星，导演功底不太好，剧作方面也有挺大的问题。
增减原版歌曲显得很不明智，高清电影版观感比高糊录播差很多
可笑的是，如果不是敌人内部出了问题，我们是打不赢的
选题很好，但是哪哪都没拍好，韩式演技也要不得。
大概是之前看到太多差评，我把预期值降到了最低再去看，反倒觉得好像还可以，可以给到三星半，如众多网友说的，ben platt的造型要演高中生实在勉强，但音乐真的无敌，之前已经听过无数遍you will be found跟so big so small，再次听仍然会有头皮发麻的感觉，电影版里alana会更具体，而且结局在保持原版的基础上，增加了evan对connor生平的追寻，最后conner的video大概算是给connor一家的救赎吧。
普通人真的很难能对付得了权贵~~要么靠点小运气~要么~得等他们的内部瓦解~
虽然看了一下剧情，很多在呼唤官摄，但没看过剧的我，看完电影还是挺感动的，可惜的是，Coner生前和家人相处的细节，都是口述的，加上看的是无字幕生肉（我的错，求轻拍，上映会去还影票的😣），就会觉得不够丰满。但是，歌还是超级好听的。
人间最是伤心处，只余新人哭旧坟，所以，请不要忘记那些曾经的悲剧，请记住那些危害过民众的企业，他们不值得被原谅，
