The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 2021年的最爱动画。有点前年看《玩具总动员4》的感觉，友谊不是你必须在我身边，友谊是知道你害怕黑暗我会默默地亮起灯，友谊是从be my friend变成be friends，友谊是虽然不舍但你也可以走你选择的路。
制作水平真的不行，就比如Barney的身边的朋友，从头到尾就是被嘲笑的工具人形象，如果是换做皮克斯或者梦工厂，他们最后一定会在后面一起帮助主角潜入总部并且得到灵魂的升华的
年度最佳动画应该算不上，实际上剧情真的不太通顺，ron也没有足够讨人喜欢的表现，主打温情的桥段感情又不够有力，但是剧情走向足够新奇，甚至到了有点混乱的程度。但有时候让人意想不到比逻辑通顺更加讨人喜欢。
