The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 导演对科技的幻想不够充分，又对人性的美好过于乐观。事实上，没有人会希望自己被“另一个人”彻底取代，甚至连自己的死亡都不在这世上留下任何痕迹。

克隆人替代本体的道德伦理困境其实只是本片的手段，而绝非目的，电影真正关注的，应该是英年早逝的人如何体面的离开，如何让关心的人继续原来的生活。如果从这个角度切入，电影在美学和主题上就有足够的先进性了。可惜这个手段的论证明显不足，光靠男主角的表演，本片是无法称为佳作的。
这部电影的外包装还不错，但是内核我真的有点受不了，齁得慌。

Cameron会弄混两人的巧克力还自以为大方地送给Poppy，而Poppy一直很清楚巧克力的真假但依然愿意愉快地和Cameron分享，这也是他们俩对待克隆的不同态度。
生物工程技术、电子技术、信息技术和智能技术都已经进步到这样的程度，但是医学上却还是治疗不了癌症？甚至男主还要戴隐形眼镜？连近视眼都不能治疗好的？男主有时看显示屏戴框架眼镜，所以他是近视眼。

感觉疫情开始以后，就再没有看过这么好的电影了。
