I guess the idea behind it was for liberated women to go into a high street store and buy it without any type of guilt or inhibition , but no doubt the main buyer market was teenage boys and dirty old men
THE LOVERS GUIDE is groundbreaking in the fact that it publicised that the couples involved were real life partners but this is slightly dishonest , yes the main couple featured Wendy and her husband were indeed a real life couple who'd been married several years but there was some public controversy that at least one of the couples Kathryn ( The gorgeous brunette ) and Marino ( The well buffed geezer with a ponytail ) had never met one another until they appeared on set where they had unprotected sex for the camera . For a video that self righteously dedicates segments to safe sex it is rather hypocritical
Seeing as it's for education purposes and not pornography as such there's limits as to what can be shown but as a sex education video it's not uninformative though I doubt if you'll be gasping " I never knew that "
As a footnote the main couple featured became something of sexual problem agony aunts in the British press - Until it was revealed that Wendy's husband had a serious heart condition which put a stop to sex . I almost felt sorry for this couple who confessed that they used to make love as often as ten times a day but now couldn't make love once a day because it was too dangerous . My small amount of sympathy soon vanished when shortly afterwards the couple split up and raced off to the gutter press in order to dish the dirt on one another to the highest bidder .
索金太牛逼了！真的是螺蛳壳里做道场，屁大点事儿都能写得如此细致动人，最后的反高潮太漂亮了，女主角这个角色就是为了奥斯卡影后写的吧，且妮可基德曼也演绎得特别入木三分！只是这个剧本实在太拉仇恨了，真的就像索金在影片中暗戳戳讽刺的那样，好莱坞只有三种编剧：蠢货，王八蛋，和我艾伦索金！

被海报骗了 怎么有这么烂的片？太简单粗暴了 要啥没啥 剧本 叙事 技术层面都一无是处 （刚出门那段社恐心理外化还可以 但也不能来回反复啊？） 最大的好消息是这片就一个半小时
近几年老这么拍传记片 且抓住一个小细节小情绪抠啊抠 再也找不回当年看朗读者和changeling 的感动了 谁来结束这个时代/前半段实在是昏昏欲睡 后半段突然明朗起来 挣扎与桎梏也有了理由 仿佛看见“演员的诞生”里固执的章子怡 又好像看见“浮生路”里几近偏执的肥温 ；中途一度不清楚只因为妆还是打针的原因 妮可的脸僵得不行 去看了原主人公的照片只得噗嗤一笑 豁然开朗 ；成片质量一般 但看完全片一扫疑惑与冗长 是完全值得二封的表演。
看现在的妮可就想感叹美人迟暮，但至少曾经美过。脸僵就僵吧，至少演技依然吊打绝大部分同龄女演员。
影后妮可基德曼，就正常发挥的水平，人物经历和故事精彩程度没有同期提名的塔米菲好看。
剧场五天+闪回 明暗线交织 最后一场戏所有的铺垫汇集将人拉回现实
新冠电影新浪潮，“出不了门的人”《后窗》+“录到了谋杀”《凶险》+“害怕周围的一切”《冷血惊魂》，惊悚悬疑大师片大融合，非常cool。

竟然有种在看肥皂剧里面拍肥皂剧的感觉，没有表现出人物的重点个性，叙事上过于平凡了
剧本复杂精致，台词考究，无可挑剔。可所有的情感，所有的力量全在片尾爆发，实在是令影片无聊的令人发指。
完美。只有一个缺憾，片名本来应该是ADA的。真好啊，理想的电影，如此简单，沿着墙壁与线缆就建立起了结构与方向。

6/10 索金又回到了《茉莉牌局》的水平，不如拍个迷你剧吧。
Nicole Kidman transforms into Lucille Ball. She has the voice, the movements and even looks like her. To say it is a well-acted is the ultimate in understatement. The script weaves different lives of Ball and Arnaz into one week of filming an episode. The performance is so brilliant that it captures your attention every second during the runtime!
个人风格强烈 形式大于内容 纪录/戏中戏、快速剪辑/闪回
非常需要耐性，如果不是妮可的话完全看不下去，好在后面渐入佳境…
到电影最后我都快相信爱情的时候直接给我当头一棒😅男的，果然、
短评中的勤能补拙 绝了 真的是what a week. 最后的十五分钟很精彩 前面有点too much。三个演员的提名也证明了。对于演员来说 提名就是认可。
虽然糙了点，还是吊打《窗里女人》。索德伯格这两年状态回升，前一部《切勿擅动》更好。
