The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 真的是《瀑布》的同题作文，疫情下的母女关系，只不过一个讲中产阶级跌落，一个讲文化隔阂，表演很好，偶有零星的感动，但平庸的视听输给钟孟宏太正常了。

林嘉欣真是太可惜了，一代港星女神里少有演技好的，却错过了整个黄金时代。

是的，一开始就是很“俗气”的因为是陈老师唱了片尾曲，才知道了这部电影。一直等啊等，希望北美能上映，最后还是在线上看到。说不出好在哪里，但感动尽在不言中。
在大中華圈的家庭裏，每一個個體都像小孩子一樣地情緒輸出：不能說不intimid，但是也談不上幸福吧。
在电影里居然看到了自己，勾起了好多小时候的回忆，升学考试，父母吵架，朋友离开，同学嘲笑，把生活的希望寄托在虚无，每一次的失落与难过都会随着时间退却又回来，说不清道不明的生活，或许就像是这部电影，并没有一个正确的答案，跟电影里爸爸说的一样，逃避或许有用……
吵架还是拍得不错的，但是突然就好了也有一点突兀，为啥庄凯勋说话那么像张震
年度最佳台湾电影，阮凤仪初出即惊人，有许鞍华和河濑直美的感觉

女导演讲起母女故事绵里藏针，又细腻又精准，我从Sacramento一路哭到新店。3.5
【2.5】全片细腻扎实地推进，不刻奇也不讲大道理。但局部冲突与外部环境较为分离，社会及文化议题有被搁置的嫌疑，最终只收束于亲情关系的和解，因此一切尚属陈词滥调，可也已经比近三年的Golden Horse最佳影片都好多了呀。

其实是父母早逝，只身携带双女在美国的女强人，片子却聚焦她无奈病回台湾在家庭里的无助，大女儿只会反问“为啥妈妈这么软弱”。 青春的叛逆姐姐，懂事互补的妹妹，面对死亡阴影夫妻不同的态度，都无比真实且细腻。喜欢结尾，母亲跟父亲的两场哭戏之后，家庭也走向和解，留白空镜头。
整体拍的中规中矩，真正的亮点在表演，林嘉欣真是不错，大女儿也演的很好。
