The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 向英国的文艺工作者表示敬意，对现实题材的一贯关切之外，这反应速度也够快，疫情爆发一年半之后，人家已经开始反思和追问了。本片从大事件中截取了一个很小的切口，拍了一个生活小品，平凡但绝不平淡，该有的戏剧张力都出来了。疫情初起时的紧张慌乱简直拍出了恐怖片的赶脚，女主独自值班那个漫漫长夜的压抑绝望的情绪尤其直抵人心，演技也很加分。
全程看朱迪科莫那张无瑕疵的脸我是没意见，只是老跑焦受不了。本片导演对摄影有病态的执念，手持、长镜头、大特写，这三件事偏要同时做到，是要用画面给观众增加压迫感吗。

在现实抗疫上 中国确实做的比西方国家好太多太多了 但是在电影上 中国被甩的太远了 我们的同类型电影简直就是屎
很有愛，也很真實。至少在某些國家，是不太可能用這樣的角度來思考和表現的。
最后字幕用一种可怜兮兮的语气说护工的时薪是8.5磅……唉…………
