The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? Visually extremely pleasing, but content wise not so convincing. Dev Patel is hot though.
既成的文本已然是禁锢，而打破现有认识的结构亦是自我重复的，于是足够繁多的符号却纷纷掉落了下来，观看趣味变为了对符号拾捡的趣味，我们对大卫·洛维的期待真的只是如此吗，或者他这次终被自己反噬，从这个意义上讲，电影可以看作人类永远无法走出的困局，亦是创作难以跨越的瓶颈。
“捍卫动物的自由”，说得容易，做到真难。很多地区，连人类自由都还没有呢。
画面摄影服美音乐都很不错，但拍的就是放慢了2倍速讲一个老土的故事，跟2015年那版的麦克白有一拼了。
美术和光影棒极啦，但除此之外也没啥夸得出口的……

没有拍出传奇感觉，并不是因为独立电影不能拍中世纪题材，而是在音乐、剪辑、台词各个方面，影片都完成得非常单薄。
A24可以成为这种影像风格代名词了，用各种神迹和隐喻去表达似是而非的宿命和抉择，世事不过一场游戏。
还是理想化了 现实毕竟太骨感 半个分神 天地就变了 往后余生 还是天各一方的好
作为电影感觉可能差强人意但是抛开表现手法来说故事原本的意象扩充做的其实可圈可点。

了解象征骑士精神的五项品质（Five virtues of a knight）：虔诚（Piety），慷慨（Generosity），善行（Courtesy），贞洁（Chastity），友谊（Friendship），这部电影就没那么难懂了，还是挺有趣的一部电影的，音乐画面都很宗教史诗的感觉，氛围渲染相当不错，很有意思
