The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 看得要睡着了，没法聚焦。如果说出租车有着极强的隐喻和象征，那玩牌到底是在干嘛。。
深焦放映。虽然开头睡着了但其实没那么差，极具风格化的配乐和摄影把视线牢牢追随着男主，除了女主的演技和感情戏偶有出戏外。然而人生讽刺的就是你想救赎的对象并不接受你救赎的方式，希望用宽容和原谅解决的最后还是归结于暴力。
节奏很慢，也并非赌片。静下心来，看到最后，实际上就是内心的反思与自我救赎。不花哨，但沉静有爱。
这部电影的主导就有问题，是战争创伤吗？可是他们没有真正的反思，奇克的父亲不是因为虐囚自责而自杀，却是因成为了别人的替罪羊心理不平才自杀……所以此后的一切都毫无意义，只是在歪打歪撞。

算是蛮讽刺的故事。复仇和扑克毫无关系，但是也是人生无法像赌博一样算出几率
种族文化大旗深入骨髓了，现在非得一部电影里主角肤色对半才足够政治正确吗？
男主演技相当不错，几乎一个人完成了一部电影，还能不分神的看完。只是以我的肤浅认识还是以失败而告终，不免充满遗憾。

和PTA处女作《赌城纵横》一样，几乎没有展现炫酷的赌博技巧的场面，赌博只是背景板。和保罗施拉德一贯的作品风格，创伤过往的主角，自我毁灭与救赎。监狱虐囚部分的夸张鱼眼镜头有意思，但总体完成不如《第一归正会》。奥斯卡伊萨克梳个大背头还是颇有赌神那神韵的。

我觉得把最后34分钟截掉，反而是个比较完整的故事～～
如果集中营里的那些纳粹士兵们呐喊他们也是受害者，反正我是不认的！
算牌只是份技能，但电影更多讲的是沉浸过去的痛苦回忆，复仇和救赎。
如果中间我没有因为疲惫而睡过去，我可能会更喜欢
