The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Naomi Watts开始在近年来不断地重复着一种角色- -装着个人悲剧却异常坚毅的勇士，在各种环境下都将挑战自己的平凡英雄；每次付出的心血让人尊重，也慨叹她从不怠慢任何故事。这里的趣味和新鲜或许应该是Małgorzata Szumowska用完全不同身份掌控很常见的求生故事，但这里却没被允许有任何充满个人特质的发挥；只能按部就班地走着，先各种极端之下从放弃到振作，其次是托陈心魔…即使从摄影、动作到表演都游刃有余，但很难再有更多的感悟。意外是Naomi和Billy Howle齐力提供了如《远山恋人》「Kate Winslet与Idris Elba」那般的默契与不错的配合，期待一个再合作。
