The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 巴黎真是电影里永恒的文艺之都，每个导演都能在它身上汲取别样的灵感。这不是侯麦和戈达尔的巴黎，更不是雅克塔蒂和卡拉克斯的巴黎，这是一群提着易碎灯笼的夜旅人，在黑暗中拥抱着彼此孤独的巴黎。电影的后劲很大，如平淡生活中默默积蓄的力量。我想导演一定是个温柔的人，不然拍不出如此温柔的电影。
没有跌宕起伏的情节，简单温情的家庭生活。但是这就是我们的人生，简单，平淡而那么真实
比起儿子和少女那条线，更喜欢伊丽莎白的情感部分
氛围和年代质感都打磨的非常好，松散的情节对应慵懒的电影气质，高贵又戳人。

温情略杂着感伤，生活就是这样，毫无情面，但我们会报团取暖，不经意间制造着美好的片段。
B— / 柔软的像午夜电台一样，观众为穿梭的旅人，对于八十年代的回溯不仅是场景发生的时间背景，朦胧的影像质感，适时的音乐，粗糙而变换的复古切片等形式上的变换，都在试图召回这种怀旧情绪，召回对城市的情感。
