The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 小成本制作，全靠剧情撑起的一部片子，从头到尾都能抓住观众的眼球，没有火爆的动作场面，精华都在对白里，编剧功不可没
当年邻居家拿电影画报糊墙，靠近房顶的地方就是《天书奇谭》的剧照，本人觊觎已久，某天趁邻居不注意搬桌子上椅子把画报给撕下来带走了。后来在央视六套看完全片，悲剧动画，泪流满面，当时认为这片是葫芦娃的续集来着。
