During the US Civil War, Union POWs escape in a balloon and end up stranded on a South Pacific island, inhabited by giant plants and animals. In 1865, during the siege of Richmond, Virginia, the union soldiers POW Captain Harding, Neb and Herbert escape in a balloon during a storm with two confederate prisoners, Sergeant Pencroft and the journalist Spilett. The uncontrollable wind takes the balloon to a mysterious island in the South Pacific in the area of New Zealand. Captain Harding self-proclaims the leader of the group and they look for food; sooner they discover that they are stranded in an island. Further, they are attacked by a giant crab that becomes their first meal. Along the days, they build a shelter and finds that the island is inhabited by giant animals. A couple of days later, they find two castaways on the beach, the aristocratic Lady Mary Fairchild and her sexy niece Elena. Later they find a trunk with weapons and instruments like sextant and shelter with a journal of a man left alone in the island by pirates. When the pirate vessel arrives in the island, they are helped by Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a submarine that had supposedly sunk in the coast of Mexico eight years ago. 故事内核居然是小美人鱼童话。可惜了这个世界观。

当初看到网飞×荒木×小畑健×虚渊玄×泽野还以为会是惊天巨制，谁能想到WIT用心做动画，老虚用脚写剧本。泡泡末日版美人鱼新编，新也只在背景设定。一度觉得这应该是跑酷游戏改的动画，仿佛看到deemo电影的样子了。不过真的好有钱好华丽好炫技，音乐也爆好听。片尾是泡泡少女在现实环境中的各种剪影，很用心的设计。

(密恐慎看) 跑酷炫技里插播了一套小美人鱼。一个听觉敏感人类耳膜与一个泡基生物偶然间共振引发的惨案。铁塔顶端巨型泡泡里，泡基生物候汝入梦。故事俗，画面艳，主角人脸来回变。音乐普，色扎眼，只有运镜能来炫。泡泡表面张力爆表，可以；高科技友军送装备，可以；“我也不知道为什么跟你说这么多”，可以；队员和前辈圣父爆发助跑，可以。都可以，这些至多是剧本我不喜欢，但是动量守恒定律怎么能时有时无啊！你俩踩的小石头岿然不动，undertaker队员倒是严守定律掉地了。看职员表都难以置信能做成这样的程度。| 硬加元素守恒概念，可惜没浪漫起来，你俩是同一个物理体系吗就守恒；提一嘴螺旋贾一乐老师看了都无语。| 人设上比较喜欢橙毛队长。
emmm…看完有点不知该怎么说，动作场面还行，典型的开挂男主，跑酷的主题挺吸引人的。但是后面拯救世界的剧情有点夸张了。从美人鱼的故事发散出来的剧情，总的来说剧情有点空洞，人物设定也有点老套。不太推荐观看
极限美学？画面真是美到我都要无视剧情了！小美人鱼本体和宇宙大爆炸客体，然而我全程都是抱着外星人入侵地球结果转成纯爱本…
作画绚丽，动作流畅。红色泡泡的“愤怒”似乎是后期加入，蓝色泡泡的“拯救”要伴随牺牲。
最后一句世界名著永远的神，到现在还是觉得海的女儿真的是一个非常美的故事。
这基本就是一部纯炫技的作品吧！
白瞎了这么好阵容，不就是套个《美人鱼》的壳吗
末世与跑酷强行关联，男女主的感情发展略显突兀，不明所以的设定，乏善可陈的剧情。

每次我打一星的时候都遗憾为什么不能负分。充满光污染的精美垃圾。
6.2。画面和音乐都属于一流水平，但是剧情过于老套了点…翻版 人鱼公主、天气之子（对 新海诚 的拙劣模仿），但是深度又欠缺了一些…
虚渊玄：虽然提前嗷嗷甩锅，但是这特么写的啥呀，照着天气之子写了个海兽之子？最后用沙耶之歌演了个小美人鱼？

以及就这制作，小畑的人设有啥意义？让荒木哲郎来导有啥意义？这两人的优势全被吞掉了啊
