A brilliant and outragously funny satire of society, 7 December 1999

"Flodder" is one of the funniest movies ever made and few people realise that it is a Dutch movie made by none other than the Holland version of John Carpenter, the famous Dick Maas, author and director of the thriller "Amsterdamned". The Flodder family is the reincarnation of the term a-social. When the whole family bunch, basically all bastards, criminals and sluts must be relocated from their City slum because of toxic waste under their house, the city council house no choice. The only available space is in the "Zoendal" - the "Sun Valley" the best area in Amsterdam where all doctors, snobs and businessmen can afford to live their lives. And where the central point of interest and politics is the tennis club of the community. The Flodder family brings devastation to the tranquil world that ruled before. They are simply unbelievable. The characterisation is incredibly funny, beginning with Ma Flodder who searches other people's trash cans for food or making illegal liquor in her cellar and ending with the eldest daughter who is the biggest slut on earth. Together they make the most horrible family imaginable, a sort of immoral mirror image to the Brady Bunch or the Waltons. When the City counsel of Amsterdam hoped that the Flodders would show their good will to be more civilised in their new area, it turns out that Holland's most famous family would rather bring out the worst in the rich people of "Sun Valley"-wonderland. The rest is a hilarious, brilliant and well made social satire that can be watched as a provocative movie as well as a straightforward comedy. Dick Maas at his best. I salute him! Flooder was the Dutch smash hit in 1986 and brought two sequels and a tv series. All of the sequels were nice but not as great as the original.

Why is First Floor Features, the producer of the movie not bringing the Dick Maas blockbusters out on DVD in the Netherlands, I wonder. The are not even available on video there. These movies have so much potential, still to this day and have a huge silent but true following.

基调是感伤的，然而赵婷的镜头施加给弗恩的不是“磨难”而是“浪漫”，这估计也是赵婷与凯莉•雷查德之间的差距。
See you down the road. 这也算是公路片吧，镜头风格好喜欢。孤独并伴随着孤独共生，不停下脚步，至少是我会愿意选择的生活方式。（和我娘一起看的，她看完就完全无感…毕竟只有我这样的性格会恨不得远离固定环境天天在路上
这其实是一部美国的主旋律电影，把社会和经济制度痼疾造成的人生悲剧，拍得洋溢着美国个人独立自由的精神，在政治正确的时代，这样的美国主旋律电影，最好由非美国白人的弱势群体的导演来拍摄，当然在基本功过关的前提下。赵导演正好满足所有条件，而前段时代美国社会针对亚裔的暴力犯罪活动，更给赵导演加分。奥斯卡没有意思已经很长一段时间了。
Ali演的是没话说了，风景和装修也美得很。就是这故事是不是略弱。。。当然，是个很精致的小品了！
演技配乐都超棒。人生路漫漫，谁不是走走停停又启程，分别相聚总有时，孤独的人类，我们路上见。
在我看来，这是反公路片甚至是反好莱坞的公路片，它如一个圆环：外在的路线与内在的心理都是，永远绕不出去，无穷无尽不死不休——弱人物弧光甚至无人物弧光，因此愈加浪漫美妙的表述反而带来愈加深邃的绝望。路上的人们是拥有抛弃所持一切的豁达魄力？与此相反，他们上路，是因为无法放下自己一无所有之余的仅有。
勇敢和真实的人总是上路。美国公路精神，在今天还如何可能？
纪录片式影像、冷静的镜头、忧伤配乐，沉郁苍凉悲伤执着的格调，这是比较鲜明的感受。以公路片“在路上”与生命之旅呼应，包含逝世与新生，孤独与温暖，困境与相助，那些路途中我们曾相遇相知相依相伴相离的灵魂，刻骨铭心，积淀为黯然柔软脆弱、不可碰触的角落，选择远方的山峰荒漠草场放逐，期待伤口的愈合。。。弗兰西斯不用说话也具有极强的表现力。
我记得看的时候有些害怕，好像看到了未来的自己。但同时也意识到自己并不具备如此活下来的技能。
走在路上，遇见一些人，把石头扔进火堆里，告别一些人。无所依托之时，我们曾相互扶持。
「獻給所有不得不分別的人。路上再見。See you down the road.」我們是旅人，是某地的旅人，是彼此人生的旅人，是社會環境的旅人，是大自然的旅人，是宇宙和世界的旅人。萍水相逢浪跡天地，正因如此溫柔相待。同時也用歸宿來對照流浪，用執念來對照淡然。不得不面對、接受離別，而追逐讚頌的仍是永不完結的絢爛夏天。再看這樣的美國荒野公路片，就越覺得自己「是被城市、尤其是多彩便捷的香港寵壞」。一邊看一邊覺得好愛配樂，看endroll居然是Ludovico Einaudi！
回来了！！！
流浪、孤独、放逐，并不是通向幸福，走向乌托邦。就像哲学里的经典命题——自由意志真的存在吗？我们的生活不完全是自己的选择，也是环境和现实作用的结果。走入流浪、孤独和放逐的生活，无关是否自由，但要坚强面对，即便在别人看来很可怜，甚至像是命运里的小丑。
看似“无依”，却紧紧“依靠”着这片土地、记忆、Bo，“依靠”得太紧以至于无法拥抱更多的爱，年复一年，选择孤独却不曾孤独。
献给不得不上路的人。
两个场景感触深刻：斯万基去世前对女主说自己时日无多，对人生的各种经历已经心满意足，而过年回家我第一次听到外公说到类似的话；女主回到旧房子，让我想到这次春节我也回到小学五年级以前住的房子，很多人家的窗户还是20年前的样子。
一首关于孤独、哀愁与怀念的影像之诗，摄影、配乐、表演都堪称完美。活在路上，是绝大部分中国人无法想象更无法实现的生活方式。不是我们缺乏冒险精神，也不是我们天生恋家，只是这样的想法往往只在年轻时昙花一现，信仰的缺失让我们走到哪里都像是无依之地。
