The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 与《算牌人》最相像的是斯科塞斯的《爱尔兰人》，二者都在本是绚烂张扬的类型里拍出了萧索之气。施拉德那新教徒般的节制在这个寓言中显出恐怖的一面来，他的男主角的道德性即体现于这种节制，他是一个能算牌的人，能看透坐庄的美国体系里自洽的极权性，却只稍作利用以维系生活而不加追究。直到最后，他才成了真正的威廉·退尔，一个斗士。他在自由之时却似乎活在玻璃监牢里，而在监狱中反而获得了真正的自由。

近期看过的最喜欢的一部欧美爱情片！养眼的男女主，复古温暖的滤镜，让人舒适的取景，有趣的故事和主角有趣的灵魂～一定会再二刷的电影！

OK，男主角身材很好，风景不错。
烂俗的情节没有什么可观赏的价值。对于男主的印象还停留在《Whiplash》里那个极为自负的鼓手学员上。
主题应该就是关塔那摩心理创伤后遗症发作，和赌桌上的算计好像没什么关系。
跟老婆一起看这种电影肯定是比被逼着看国产脑残剧强的。
