The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 一个藏在谍战外壳里的真爱故事，倒叙回忆和出色的氛围渲染，有种末日危情的悲壮底色
截止到真相揭晓前的一刻，一切都那么美好，多时间线推进，老案例被层层拨开，真相就在眼前，连杀手都就位了。结果，居然是个爱情片，难怪那么多床戏吻戏，谍战味道一下就淡了。
很无聊的一个故事。弯来绕去，讲了个寂寞。女主50岁还能有如此状态，令人敬佩。

给主演们的演技加分。刚开始看还觉得结构比较散，到谜底揭晓的那一刻才知道导演之前的剪辑是什么意思。很喜欢最后Amanda Bergman演唱的love song，比原唱the cure的版本好听！

这电影名字翻译不准确，主题跟“宝刀未老”没半毛钱关系，本来还以为是老年男女特工的动作片。电影成本也是够低的，一半剧情都发生在餐厅的吃饭对话中。
