The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 三星半。基本无对白，运用了纪录片的拍摄手法。经常是从一片黑暗中看到光源，仿佛人类对大自然发出的一声呼喊和好奇。从洞里到洞外山谷的自然风光，带领观众重新成为自然的一部分，成为雾霭，成为草木，时间不再重要，那些印着社会标志人物的封面在这里毫无意义。那位生病的老人躺在柔软的松枝上好像睡着了，看着他的脉搏，目送死神将他带走。在这似梦非梦半睡半醒的93分钟里，重新体验时间和生命。

很浪漫，这剧场版真的很浪漫。在遇到你之前，我觉得世界是无趣的。我爱每一种花，因为对我来说都一样。但你出现了，自此我便有了偏爱，有了心之所向，所以非你不可了。

如果是剧集聚焦的是蠢太对高人的追求，那剧场版注重的就是高人对蠢太的奔赴😭双向的爱真的太感动了！
全片没有给探洞者任何特写镜头，宁肯给纸片也不给人，这阻止了观众对探洞者的神入。
